Summary: I bought a new (refurbished) MHC EC-99i from the Sony Store on sale for a mere $135 incld ship !! I bought it for my shop but while checking it out and hooking up some extra speakers to it I was blown completely away by the amazing sound it produces! It would be diff to ask for anything more from a system at any price as far as sound quality is concerned. There is absolutely no audiable distortion even at levels which shake everything in the room. The bass is as good as it gets with the dual 12" subs I hooked to it. The amp takes MP3 files and turns them into unbelieveable beautiful music! It takes the stereo signal from you TV and produces impressive results... Whatever you want in a stereo this is a very, very good benchmark which few systems at any price will even match. You'll be just as shocked as I have been...
