Price Paid:  $400.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
This Sony compact A/V system gives me nothing to complain about. The speakers perform awesomely at all ranges, and the multiple functions allow the user to do many things with one component and not alot of wires running everywhere.

Review 2 of 2

Summary:
I recently purchased the LBT-D790 a week ago for a bargain deal of $400!(it is discontinued) I bought this stereo because of its excellent sound compared to its predecessors. The saw(super acoustically loaded woofer) adds quick well-defined low bass. Not only is the bass excellent, the tweeters are a much better quality than the newer Sony's because it doesn't have a spitty tweeter that accentuates S- sounds. This allows this minisystem to be listened to longer. I noticed the newer minisystems can produce more bass, but cannot compare to the quality. Features include a 5-disc carousel, groove, and other standard features that come with the newer systems. The minisystem is 100 watts per channel. This doesn't sound extraordinary, but you are paying for sound quality. Overall, I found everything to be superb and exceded my expectations.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
