Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
The frequency range is not quite as extended compared to a dedicated amp or reciever. However I find the sound very easy to listen to while still feeling powerful. I use it as an alarm clock and have enjoyed waking up to its sound daily. I switched the stock speakers for a pair of floorstanders and highly recommend doing so. The only thing I would change would be to remove the sound of the fan and the CD motor.

Review NaN of , from london

Price Paid:  $300.00 from a shop

Summary:
I have had the system for a while now and it`s still going stong i have upgraded the speakers for some jamo bookshelf speakers and replaced the speaker wire with some thicker wire and mounted the speakers on some stands.
This has improved the sound alot and the bass is more refined and the treble is not so harsh.
I have listened to some new systems recently and the NS-5 still seems to sound clearer and more dynamic.

I have a MJ-L5 minidisc player/recorder that matches the NS-5. Boxed, never used. Anybody interested I am open to offers.

good looking hifi, good value for money and great sound

Review NaN of , from Edison, NJ

Summary:
Should have done this review a long time ago....Anyway, I've had the cd receiver for 9 months now and just hit me how good this cd player really sound. This may only be 18 watts per channel but tell you what....i dont even have to turn the volume and the bass up whenever i use it. It aslo very detailed if there's such a thing. For the the price i got it its a steal...i don't think Pioneer is still selling though. For its price and value its definitely a recommded component. Check it out if you still can.

Strengths:
SOUND!!! and with its motorzied LCD it look preatty good

Weaknesses:
If these just came with binding post then i would have had gotten the surround processor for Dolby Pro Logc decoding
