Description: There's no rule that stereo systems have to be big and bulky, as this trendy microsystem from Philips aptly proves. The wall-mountable MC235 is a mere 3.78 inches thick--bigger than a credit card but far smaller than the average CD player and speaker combo. Yet the system still packs dynamic audio performance inside its narrow body, with such features as digital sound control and digital dynamic bass boost (DDBB). The former invites the user to choose between different sound settings, including optimal, jazz, rock, techno, and classic, and then automatically adjusts the sound balance and frequencies to create the most favorable setup for the chosen music style. DDBB, on the other hand, enhances the bass at low, mid, and high volumes to deliver rich, deep sounds, an important consideration for a small system such as this.
