Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $124.00 from ubid.com

Summary:
I really like this system. The 3 disk changer is very nice. High speed dubbing is also very nice. Having a remote control works great and is much nicer than having to get up every time. All the lights make it very nice looking but for people who have this in a bedroom, the clock is to bright. On the flip side, the alarm pounds out great sound that is sure to get anybody (or everybody for that mater) out of bed. The sound fills my room quite nicely and all my freinds are jealous. I even brought it to an outdoor party and had the neighbors complain. The bass goes down to 60hz and the 1" tweeters give good balance. Unfortunately, there is to equalizer and the presets are kinda cheesy. (Not that big of a deal). Overall this is a perfect stereo for a dorm room, a bedroom, den or office. I wouldn't recomend it for the ultimate home theater but it has it's place. For appereance and user freindlyness i give this system a full five stars. For sound, give it 4.5 stars and over all, 4.75. Some of the other nice features include sub ready (very very nice with a sub) and aux in which I can use for my computer to play games, mp3, chat (ect.). I do recomend this system and the detachable speaker faces come in handy for that meaner look, or the prefered conteporary blend that sits nicely with a moderate room. Nice job Philips Magnavox.

Strengths:
Sound
User Freindly
Remote control
Surround speakers
3 Disk
Lights
Sub ready
Aux in

Weaknesses:
Not true surround (not 5.1, only stereo)
To bright for night time
No equalizer

Review 2 of 3

Summary:
This stereo is a great value for quality 3cd changer with a great sound output! This stereo also features auxilary in, which if you buy a cable at radio shack for about $6, lets you hook up your computer with all those nice little mp3's of yours to some VERY nice speakers. The 4 types of music changer thing is very useful when utilizing a cd with all types of music on it. This stereo is one of the best you can find for this price. The surround sound speakers have long cables, so you can move them and either put them on the floor, or hang them on the wall like I did. Great sound wherever you are! Buy It!

Strengths:
Sound, Auxilary In, Aucustic Control, Remote, Bright buttons, Surround Sound

Weaknesses:
None that I can think of...

If your shopping for a Mini Surround System, I strongly urged you to take a look at Philips/Magnavox! I don't think you will find another brand with all the features and value, compared to its resonable price. Take my word for it, I didn't.

Notice: I am not connected to Philips/Magnavox in anyway. I am just a very satisfied customer, that wanted to share the value with others.

Strengths:
Value, Features, Durable, Tons of Lights!

Weaknesses:
Absolutly NONE!
