Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $265.00 from ATLANTA

Summary:
The model looks very impressive. The design is just perfect. The only thing disappointed me is the poor finish of speaker boxes, for this kind of unit it had to be better. The system is very convenient in operation in all modes. The quality of recorded CDs is good. The remote control unit is very handy. The sound of system is impressive one, mid and top are fine defined, bass is not bad, actually it had to be a little better, it is deep, but not so detailed. This system has not a low quality cassette decks like many others, instead of them it has CD recorder - great solution. I can't understand why all companies equipping their systems with two decks, it's better to have a better quality one, or put CD recorder. It's necessary to say thanks to PHILIPS for such a brave and clever solution!

Strengths:
Looks great, sounds good, in operation is very convenient

Weaknesses:
The speaker boxes could be better and the bass is not so detailed

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
