THis hi f is actually a b**ch, i love the bass it gives, even when i listen to my mates 400wat speaker system on his computer it still sounds excellent when i get home! the trebel does distort when you turn her up, but the bass mostly holds on, my cd player is skipping occasionly for no reason, but it is still a bi**h. buy one if you get the chance!!!!

NO SKIP BUTTON!!! mids can sound harsh when turned up!

Summary:
I wanted another hifi system for my TV room for casual music listening and specially home cinema. Basses are overpowering even on "flat" setting. It does distort some of the music, also adding unpleasent "hiss", however this strong bass works perfectly OK with pro logic. I'm sure it has a lot to do with speakers characteristics. When connected to my old Wharfedale Diamonds speakers the sound become much more transparent and clear. Pro logic surround effect is ok for the money, however I would expect more from Technics. I would give only 3.5 stars, but bounded with the restrictions 4 stars will be in favour of that unit.

Summary:
I have enjoyed listing to a wide range of music with this system. It has a dynamic treble and a very powerful bass, which works well with some music but with others it can be a bit over powering. It is made well and looks pretty cool. I found that when using the remote control for the CD it could sometimes be a bit aggravating that it doesn't have a skip/search button.

Please, remember this minisystem is not any HIFI. It is a boomer. But nice one. I use it instead of my TV acoustics.
