Review 1 of 10

Price Paid:  $320.00

Summary:
This is a great sounding system with brilliant bass and sound crispness, for all those stupid people who have said that they have changed the speakers ect.. you have to use the 3D equalizer which you can change the crispness on, this stereo is awesome and when this baby is turned up fully it shakes the house Literally! Oh yeah don't write in saying it's rubbish because you should learn how to use it first because only people with a bit of Intellectual brain power can operate it!!!

Strengths:
great bass, crispness, stylish and downright awesome!

Weaknesses:
slightly slower at changing disk than prefered but thats why it can hold 5cds!

Review 2 of 10

Summary:
Not actually owned by me, but it resides in the room with the computer in it, so i get plenty of use from it.
Cd player is indeed slow to change, and very picky about what it will and wont play. actual quality of noise is acceptable, when run through headphones.
Amplifier is clearly designed to be running the integrated subs constantly, as if you turn them off, and turn the volume up, treble clipping occurs like crazy. it certainly doesn't deliver 280 watts a channel.
Tape deck is poor at recording, single record only, no tape loops, only one auxiliary in, no axiliary out, or optical out.
the speakers.
hmm.
the integrated subs are a stupid idea. firstly, even with the subs supposedly off, they still run, giving you a non "clean" sound, which is rubbish, consider its supposed to be a "high fidelity mini-system". second, they only seem to be able to produce one (incessantly annoying) bass note. the one that makes stuff shake in essence.
The onboard signal proscessing is pointless, the surround effects don't work (duh) and totally distort the sound.

Basically, if you give a stuff about your music, don't buy it. at the £280 price tag, you could buy some second hand seperates and have a better sounding system. much better. oh, but sorry, there'd be less blinking lights. and metal coloured plastic.
if you're out to impress your mates with some phat bass, this is pretty good. also good for playing things like first person shooters. not good for real music.

Strengths:
Flat topped speakers make for conveniet caffeine based beverage holders.

Weaknesses:
everything else

Review 4 of 10

Summary:
Primo looks, Great sound!
Even at maximum volume theres like, no distortion!
There wouldnt be anything to moan about if it had a carusel style cd changer!
Super woofers built into the speakers are great! dont have to use a separate subwoofer to get the house shakin!

Strengths:
Great sound quality!, Massive volume!, Heaps of playback features!

Weaknesses:
Stacker styled cd player takes ages to change disk...cant play CD's while changing other CD's either

Review 5 of 10

Summary:
Although it came out as one of the best systems in several tests, I didn't like the sound. No way to have a "crystal clear" sound. And believe me,I tried everything, even other speakers. I sold it last week to buy a "full" system.

Strengths:
price power

Weaknesses:
the sound

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
