from Circuit City Summary: I LOVE THIS SYSTEM ! I have 8 speakers hooked up to it throught my room (origional 2 and new speakers bought just for this) This system will get so loud it makes the walls vibrate i aslo have a additional 7 speakers hooked up to this system in other parts of the house (tons of speaker cable) and with all 15 speakers on not one bit of sound loss this system rocks my house trust me the neighbors hate it ! Strengths: POWER Weaknesses: i couldnt hook my computer up to it soley i have to run a adapter via headphone out on computer speakers to the rca jacks on the back of the stereo (if u dont hook it up via computer speakers the sound it low and u hear a loud hummming sound very annoying) Similar Products Used: Kenwood home theatre system the FULL sourround stereo the JVC sound just as good as the stereo designed for loud surround

from TechNet Summary: I have had no problem in terms of sound quality and output with this machine. But I seem to have a problem with playing copy CD's. In other words, I can not play a copyied CD. The system does not seem to recognise these. I am aware that there are certain CDs that you can not copy music to and play on any player other than a ROM drive but I thought I should be able to play write once CDS on my MX-D301T moreso after being able to do so when the machine was new.

Review 3 of 5 Summary: I have used the MX-D301T for over three years now, and I have had many hours of listening pleasure from it. While not the most powerful in terms of watts, I still feel it delivers clear sound with fairly deep bass. I don't think I'd recommend it for someone looking to re-create a dance club in their home, but for anyone else looking to buy a quality stereo with good sound, this is it. I feel JVC offers top quality considering how long I've used it trouble-free. I compare it with products purchase by people I know who've bought Samsung and Aiwa systems that malfunctioned within a year of purchase. My previous stereo was a quality Sony system probably built about 10+ years ago, and it is still functioning, and my JVC would compare favourably with it. Strengths: Clear sound and good bass. Quality JVC product. Weaknesses: Lower watts than many stereos today.

Review 4 of 5 Summary: this system is a peice of shit. when you are trying to turn up the volume in the house the music quality is garbage. the system lacks bass power and how hight the volume can go. you can find better elsewhere such as the Sony RX110AV a great system (my buddy Eugeny's got one) and it's great!

Review 5 of 5 Summary: I recently purchased the JVC MX-D301T on sale for US$ 170.00. After listening to a couple of other systems in the store, I decided that it was the best value for money, considering it was a 3-disc system. The pros: The unit is rated at a modest 22 Watts RMS, however, as with most JVC audio products,it is considerably powerful compared to similar systems that boast up to 30 Watt RMS rating. The unit produces deep, room filling sound(for a small room. Second, is the ease of operation and the comfort of a full function remote. The unit also comes with 3 surround effect modes (D. Club, Hall and Stadium) and 3 preset equalization modes which makes listening more enjoyable.
The cons: Music sounds a bit "bass heavy". You need to adjust the volume and toggle with the sound modes to try to get the best output. But with the sound modes available this situation is quickly remedied.
The verdict: the 301T is a good 'first' system for under US175.00, descent sound, "loud" enough to annoy the neighbours and lots of useful features.
