Description: Different models in JVC's FS series demonstrate advances in speaker technology. The FS-SD550 Executive Desktop Stereos introduces the unique, oblique cone, which inherits last year's cylinder-shaped speaker technology and adds new innovations for still better sound. The oblique cone features an asymmetrically mounted voice coil, which decreases distortion due to interference. In addition, the reduction of standing-wave generation in the cone provides a smooth response for a clearer sound. The cone material used in the FS-SD550 is Metal Olefin, an olefin/aluminum mixture for low distortion even at high output levels.
