Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $200.00 from ebay

Summary:
Hi ; I'd just like to leave a positive feedback for the Videologic Dts setup ; it's worth everypenny i spent on , audio quality is quite high for the price and I would re-get it any time . The sound is clear , bass is deep and not overwhelming , maybe a bit weak on mids . For 200£ , 5.1 + DTS + good quality in repr. music I wouldn't ask too much more . It's not an hi-fi ( amp + speakers will beat it for music repr. fidelity ) but I haven't regret the choice I've made for my pc based- station and would get this system another time if i had to pick up one another time. Higly asviced.

Strengths:
musical full sound not harsh on highs nice deep bass that can be nicely tailored to your likings most important : not boring noticeable weakness in the sound

Weaknesses:
bit recessed mids , not the last word for tone and detailing/rendering of instruments a bit on the "congested" side of the sound if you are audiophile probably will notice this anyhow I would ask more only for 3 times the price i paid

Similar Products Used:
(PC-wise) : some 2.0 / 2.1 system , Creative Digital 3500 , T-amp + speakers .

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $370.00 from DVDworld

Summary:
My first dvd i tried was the opening scene from saving private ryan, volume up, the whistle blows for launch and the first bullet fires, WOW! play this to anyone who wants a demo before buying and thats all they need to hear to be convinced. I would say you would have to pay at least triple the price to get a system that is clearly superior. The person who said the sub distorts deep bass must have a faulty sub.

Strengths:
Performance, Performance, Performance, do i really have to keep going!

Weaknesses:
Its like a drug, i just have to keep buying more and more dvd''s especially DTS ones, i need em man

Similar Products Used:
nothing worthy of mentioning

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $650.00 from Videologic

Summary:
I don't know about distortion problems at low frequency, I haven't experienced any at all! Perhaps the previous reviewer had a faulty unit or had it misplaced, but I don't get any distortion at all.
These speakers fill my living room with brilliant surroundsound for movies, you can hear the difference between dolby digital and DTS quite clearly, and while music doesn't work in stereo x2 it still sounds great in stereo.

Highly recommended as an alternative to a cheap sony or jvc 5.1 setup for surroundsound, you basically have to spend 2-3x as much to get something equal/better from a small surroundound system and even then it might not be significantly better.

Strengths:
Excellent sound quality, compact sound, brilliant subwoofer

Weaknesses:
No dual-analogue input for stereo x2, no headphone

Similar Products Used:
crossfire, klipsch 4.1, klipsch 2.1, yamaha tss-1, cambridge 3500, sony & jvc mini-dvd setups

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $750.00 from Videologic Distributor for Australia

Summary:
Overall the Digitheatre DTS is pretty good for music and home cinema use. However if you're a person who likes power in your low frequencies or have sat in a proper home theatre set-up, these speakers aren't for you. They can provide incredible highs but I must stress the lows as they really spoil the movie the hear such a huge rattle from the sub.

Strengths:
Ability to decode sound formats upto DTS for such a good price. The satelites themselves are very powerful despite their size and also have good bass reproduction without the sub. Inputs include: Analog, Coxial, and Optical. Very good for stereo use aswell. Individual volume control and test tone for all speakers is also avaliable.

Weaknesses:
Sub distorts at extreemly low frequencies which is common in AC3 and DTS films. Centre speaker also has a slight distortion with certain frequencies. Missing earphone port for earphone use.

Similar Products Used:
Original Digitheatre, Sirroco, Altec Lansing.
