Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
Good value for the money. Paid only $70 at Target. However, would not recommend it. Read on.

Strengths:
Good picture quality.

Weaknesses:
Almost everything is done via the remote control and cannot be done on the VCR itself. A very annoying "feature" is that the time elapsed and display mode are displayed on the top of your TV by default. By pressing a button on the remote, you can remove the lettering, but you have to do this each and every time you watch a video. After a while, the button stopped working.

Review 2 of 3

Price Paid:  $69.00 from Best Buy

Summary:
Not bad, but not the best either. The price is great for the brand and quality. I would have liked a little more solid construction, and a little better picture quality. Some flicker is noticed on older tapes. Audio output is adequate, but nothing special.

Strengths:
Ease of hook up, auto channel search.

Weaknesses:
Picture quality is excellent for the low price paid, but I would have liked a little better from Toshiba. The auto time search failed to work on digital cable signal. ???. Easy to manually set up though.

Review 3 of 3

Price Paid:  $69.00 from HH Gregg

Summary:
Bought this unit for my mother. It was the least expensive 4 head hifi unit from a reputable brand. It appears to be very well built compared to others in this price range. I was also pleasantly surprised by the picture and sound quality. This is a great vcr for non-technical people. Very easy to set up - auto clock set, auto tracking, batteries and cables included.

Strengths:
Price, picture quality

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
