Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $100.00 from Conn's

Summary:
Went through many generic Magnavox/Sanyo vcr's for over a year before we shelled out real cash for this 6 head unit on clearance. Have had it many years now with no problems at all. No green tint bars on left screen, no damage to my tapes, very crisp clear and flawless recordings. Better sound than what I'm used to from a vcr.

Strengths:
Very good picture and audio. Records clear and clean in all modes. Got it on clearance right at $100.

Weaknesses:
Only two sets of rca a/v input jacks. Remote can be clumsy and a little confusing at first. For some reason I have to press "Display" on my remote for the vcr to send a picture signal to my tv.

Similar Products Used:
Magnavox and Sanyo 4-head vcr's, usually around $59-$99 price range.

Review NaN of , from San Rafael, Ca, USA

Summary:
I bought it onsale at a big store. I have had absolutely no problems with it other than I hate reading manuals and the onscreen controls to operate the VCR are not very intuitive. I got more than what I paid for. If I had paid more than $120 for it I wouldn't be so happy. It doesn't seem as indestructable as the Sony I have had for four years. It does look kind of cool in my cabinet though.

Strengths:
Nice picture; records well even at superslow speed.

Weaknesses:
Menus suck; Not very intuitive.

Review NaN of , from Orange,CA

Summary:
Be careful if buying from Online auctions! They claim these are new units yet they have a defect. I got 2 and they
both have this problem. I have to take it for service
which is so unreasonable for a new unit.

Strengths:
6 head. Can playback at SP quality when recorded at SLP.
Can play SVHS tapes

Weaknesses:
Green bar on left side of screen regardless of tape played

Summary:
Bought this for $160, however, when I hooked it up, there were two greenish tint bar on the left side of the screen. Thinking it was defective, I returned it and got another one. It did the same thing. So, I returned it and bought a Panasonic 9451.

Strengths:
6-head for a reasonable price

Weaknesses:
Greenish tint bars on the left side of the screen.

Similar Products Used:
Had 4-head VCRs before
