Review NaN of , from Culver City, CA, USA

Price Paid:  $120.00 from Circut City

Summary:
4 out of 5 or 1½ Thumbs Up!

Strengths:
Overall, great VCR. Model sold under other names. The super fast forward and rewind functions are REALLY nice, and it appears to slow at both ends of the tape (tension measurements most likely) so the tape won't break on either end. Finally, after 4 years of continual usage, I have had no problems with it and the auto correction of the heads even plays tapes other units can't.

Weaknesses:
However, under Sharp, I have had a hard time finding the universal remote manual, and only their remote can be used to program recordings and other features. Universal remotes can not access these features. So you have to have their remote FOREVER!

Similar Products Used:
Tons of other VCR's that I have sworn to repair in my closet!

Review NaN of , from Sacramento, CA

Summary:
I bought this when it was priced at $160, nowadays I see it closer to $110. It's a very nice machine although feature wise it seems they all have pretty much the same these days. It has been rock solid, not a seconds worth of problems. At this price I don't think any features could've been added (manual record level controls and meters). Would've been nice to have 3 speeds (at least on playback for compatibility). Overall a very nice VCR.

Strengths:
Nice feature set. Remote pager so you don't lose it. Very fast FF/RW. Jog/Shuttle dial. Front A/V inputs. Good overall build quality.

Weaknesses:
No jog/shuttle on the remote. No manual tracking control.
