I bought this as a cheap VCR to copy tapes, and I hate it every day I use it. JVC or samsungs would blow this away.

It had 19 micron heads, so I thought the picture might be OK. The "image enhancement" just blurs the picture so you can't see the grainyness. It's not good at playing OR recording.

Colors are washed out.. picture isn't sharp.. If you can't find the remote you can't toggle the tape speed between SP/EP. The remote is OK though. Both front & rear AV jacks are nice to have.

I guess it is built OK, because I've used it for 3 years to tape everyday programs, just hoping it will break so I can buy a different one.

Strengths:
Ok remote, lasted 3 years & counting. S-l-o-w rewinding or FF. It was cheap at the time I bought it.

Weaknesses:
Poor color, blurry
