Review 1 of 5

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
This has been a very good VCR. I have had no problems with it. I bought it off Crutchfield and would reccommend it to anyone looking for a solid performer. I used a referral ID from someone else off a review site and got $20 off my order for saying they referred me. If you order from Crutchfield.com, use this referral ID at the end of your order and you will get $20 off your order too. pc6g2-2wbed-sgi29

Strengths:
easy to use and good remote

Weaknesses:
some buttons on remote are very small

Review 2 of 5

Summary:
THE VCR has an good remote that controls multiple hifi componenets still the remote will not let our DSS utilitze its feature. For the VCR itself, it has a clean and clear pictures and offers excellent value and a functional design.

Review 3 of 5

Summary:
I love the Commercial Advance feature on this VCR! It works better than I expected:

- it advances when it shouldn't only rarely.
- it is more common for it to miss the beginning of a commercial requiring you to hit the fast-forward button yourself.
- occasionally it will resume play in the middle of a commercial break.

Most of the time it works great. Not only do you not have to touch the remote to get through a commercial, you also don't have to watch the commercials wiz by while waiting for the end of the commercial break. And you don't have to deal with overshooting, backing up, and resuming at the end of the commercial.

Strengths:
Commercial Advance feature.
If the pause time out, play is stopped rather than resumed.

Weaknesses:
I would like larger channel up/down buttons.

Review 4 of 5

Summary:
I got my Panasonic PV-8661 for $50 used without a remote, so it was a great value for the money. It has excellent SP playback audio/video, and above average recording quality. My roommate managed to break the stop/eject button along with the play button, but it still works otherwise and he moved out shortly after. I give it 5 stars for the sweet deal I got on it and 4 stars overall.

Review 5 of 5

Summary:
I bought this VCR bascially because it was wide enough to be stacked. It is a little overpriced but it does give you good picture and good sound. Not very happy with the recording job it does, but it will do. Also you would expect a little more features for $199.99. It does however have 2 A/V inputs, which is pretty handy. I would have to give it an almost perfect score.
