Summary:
While everybody else is still in the lab trying to get their DVD to do HI Def reliably, I am enjoying D Theater movies with better audio than they will ever hear on a disc plus perfect 1080i video. My 480p DVDs are collecting dust. I can record HBO HD movies in HD and 5.1 audio.

Strengths:
Uncompressed soundtrack lets you feel and hear what you missing on a DVD.

Weaknesses:
It almost takes 30 seconds to completely rewind a tape.
