Review NaN of , from West Point, IN, USA

Price Paid:  $150.00

Summary:
The concept is good for non-computer users, but the Philips brand has had major problems, and customer support has been poor.

Strengths:
The concept of an internet appliance with only e-mail and surfing capabilities is great for certain demographics that will never use a full computer.

Weaknesses:
Because there is no software, e-mail attachments and movies are impossible to open. E-mails must be written on-line, there is no word processor for composition. The real problem has been in the poor quality modem used in the product. The box has been sent back three times this year for replacement, (with much pain from customer support), and stops working again within a few weeks.
