Strength:

Great audio and video reproduction at this price point. Nice build quality ergonomics, and appearance. No clunks or clanks during carousel rotation. Comprehensive manual.

Weakness:

Okay you videophiles, it does not have HDMI and video upscaling. My only real beef is that it does not have a tray in/out button on the remote.

This is a prelim impression on this unit, as I have not owned it very long. Overall, I feel it is a rock solid value. My primary use is for audio purposes in a secondary stereo system replacing a malfunctioning CAL CL-10. Carousel functioning of this unit has been fairly quick, quiet, and flawless. After about 50 CDs and CDRs, and about 2 dozen SACDs and DVD-A+Vs, it tripped up on one SACD, which played fine after I cleaned it. My original plan was to obtain an Onkyo 802 or an Integra 8.5, but these are running $250 to $350 on ebay and hard to find. I decided to give this unit a try, and as long as it keeps playing, I am a happy camper.
