from Sony website Summary: Average sound and video quality with respect to using it to watch movies and listening to music. Video in progressive mode is not as sharp and film-like as Panasonic's CP67, and movie sounds doesn't come across as three dimensional in DTS or Dolby Digital. Music sound is not as good as the old Sony 600D. Strengths: Can program DVD discs whilst a lot of other makes cannot. Better designed menus cause it doesn't force you to go through as many steps to perform a function (such as changing discs, switching audio channels..etc.) The unit looks good. Weaknesses: Very average video and sound.
Only one analog audio output. So for those of you wanting to use hook it up to a mixer as well as receiver, don't buy this model. Similar Products Used: Sony 600D, Apex 2500 and Sony 600D
