Strengths: Faroudja processor.
5 disc changer. Hey, it's convenient!
MP3/VideoCD/CD capable.Weaknesses: Cost.
5 disc changer! Discs tend to slide out of their individual trays, landing somewhere in the innards of the unit. This is not a big problem if you're comfortable with a screwdriver. But obviously it's a HUGE DEAL if you're not. I'm now very careful about placing discs in the turntable, and I bring everything to a "full halt" before ejecting the turntable. This seems to have eliminated the issue, but I wouldn't be surprised if it still happens 2 or three times a year.
Faroudja processor... You're not gonna see a difference unless you have a very good and/or large monitor.Bottom Line: A very pricy unit that may just be worth it. Essentially, you're paying for the Faroudja video processor, which can dramatically enhances DVD picture quality.
However, I believe there is another DVD unit out there that also contains the Faroudja chip for a lot less (Panasonic, maybe???). Do a web search...

Strengths: Awesome Sight and SoundWeaknesses: VERY SLOW to change discs, read discs and change tracks. But worth the wait.
Remote control is VERY FUNKY AND WEIRD.
NO Screen saver, so that SUCKS! Don't forget about this part of saving your MONITOR!Bottom Line: I purchased this unit THINKING I was going to return it. That the picture difference between it, and my Elite LD/DVD unit was going to be very slight.
I WAS WRONG. VERY, VERY WRONG.
Simply STUNNING output to my HD set. Especially on all animated works. Complete removal of jaggies and other chroma issues. Compared to other units, the Faroudja chips are amazing! And you can CONTROL THE AMOUNT! [great demo for others, btw]
Pricey player, but worth the $$ if you want to squeeze every last drop from your DVDs and CDs.
