I'm writing a review on my yamaha yht-20 h.t.i.b. that's home theatre in a box but on the speakers only. I've been reading the review's on this so called system and i've got say that i'm not getting the same result's that alot of other people seem to be getting out of this 5.1 set up.I know that's it an older system like 2001 but i'm using a onkyo tx-sr608 a/v receiver on power it so i know it's not my receiver that's. I've read article's that say the sub woofer is excellent to a novice maybe, it distortes very easely on movie
s & music. I have a polk audio psw10 powered subwoofer on my other system that blow's it out of the water, it has to be turned down when watching action films because it distortes so easy And forget music i just turn it off when listen to any kind of music. The highs from the tweeters is pathetic absolutely no l.f.e from the fronts or rears or center ,Dialogue sounds very muffled especialy playing music. I could go on and on all day about the cons but i think everyone gets the point i give the yamaha yht-20 a big thumbs down on every aspect. The only good thing i can say about it is the price i paid which was 45.00 $ at a pawn shop but i'm serios about home theatre and maybe i'm just being picky just one guys opinion.

Strength:

Easy set-up,clean sound,sub-woofer rocks.

Weakness:

Remote control has way to many funtions.

This system is awsome in a small to mid-sized room. The 5ch feature is simply amazing when watching DVD's and digital cable.I look high and low for a quality system for arond $1,000 and this fit the bill in more ways then one.
