People don't know how to set the Bose system up. Some naysayers can't even figure out how to adjust the bass and treble. It's a great system depending on how you want to listen to music. It's clean and the bass mudule, which is actually more than that, is very tight. You msut set it up properly however. I agree, please hear teh otehr "Great" system right next to the Bose system. The reason people hate Bose is teh price. the reason many audio places don't sell them is because Bose fixes the resale price, and they can't make as much money.

I have been using the Bose Lifestyle 25 for 2 years now. The bose sound is convincing but compared to other systems at this price I feel I should have not ignored reviews given about Bose being just a marketing stunt and that it is not worth the money. Even though Bose says that we can hide the bass module anywhere but that is not true. Placement of the speakers is a pain. I suggest please do not buy if you are an audio enthusiast. Spend your money on better products than this.

In general we found the bose 28 a good system. recently purchased a digital TV decoder to find that the bose would not control it. Bose support gave an inane response and would not check their list of codes to advise if the problem had a workaround.
