Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $90.00 from London Drugs

Summary:
After reading several other reviews of this model, I felt compelled to share my experiences. Frankley, its been great! It always works; the user interface is simple and the picture/sound quality is on par with units that cost far more. With refference to another review, I have been using TOSHIBA products for 20 years or so and my purchase decision was influenced by the fact that I've been happy with their product (afterall they did design and manufacture the Sony picture tubes that have become the standard of the industry). That being said, I am by no means an audio-visual expert as would be evident by the "bottom of the barrel" price range that I was looking for. Great machine!

Strengths:
Price
Ease of setup/use
slim/attractive design
simple
reliable (for me anyway)

Weaknesses:
I guess if you pay dick-all for somthing, you cant expect it to be built like a Sherman Tank but givin the fact that my SD 3900 lives quietly on a shelf without any exposure to any outward stimuli, apart from the evil and corrupt "DUST REGIME" I couldn't care less about the build quality of the chassis, tray and so on. It works.

Similar Products Used:
As stated, several of my freinds have more costly setups (Sony, Samsung etc.).
Hey, they're great if you have money burning a hole in your pocket but even they have commented on the picture quality g

Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $89.00 from Target

Summary:
I have a Toshiba SD1900 but needed a model that could play VCD. The SD3900 played VCD no problems but about 50% of the time the player would lock up when a regular, purchased DVD was inserted. The power cord needed to be unplugged to reset the unit. Target was very gracious and gave me a full refund after being frustrated for a week.

Strengths:
Plays VCDs
Started playing movie immediately.

Weaknesses:
Only worked 50% of the time.
