So far I am very impressed with this player. I shopped around extensively for a very long time, and eventually settled on this Sony because of excellent value for price. It has all the major features you could expect from a mid range DVD player, plays almost anything and does it very well. On my TV the images are sharp and crisp. I don't have a major surround sound system yet, but the virtual surround feature knocked my socks of. It's much better than I ever expected! It's recommended that you at least use your hi-fi for this... normal TV speakers won't cut it. All discs I have tried plays without a single glitch, they load fast and also jump to scenes/menus very fast. I like the mp3 menu although a random function for mp3s would be great... The remote is well laid out and easy to use. All in all a great player at a good price. Hope I will still have years of great entertainment from this machine! :) Strengths:
Good value for price. Plays MP3s, VCD, CDR/RW. Nice MP3 menu. Virtual Suround sounds great. Good sound and picture quality. Weaknesses:
