Summary:
The DVD HD-1000 picture quality is top notch! I think this is the only DVD player that upsamples regular DVDs into 720p or 1080i using component video out! It simply works! Firmware upgrade enables it to work even with security enabled DVDs.

The unit weighs in close to 40lbs. This is a heavy for a DVD player.

If you don't have the latest monitor with DVI or HDMI input, this is the one to get if you like HD quality pictures.

Strengths:
Video Upsampling to 720p/1080i via component video out.

Weaknesses:
2ch stereo playback is so so. Slow to read DVDs or CDs.
