Review NaN of , from Paramus NJ USA

Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I'm not sure what took this Uni-spinner so long to post since I've owned it a year now. The DV-47A has since been upgraded to the 47Ai. This review will be for the DV-47A only: It has merit as being the first Universal spinner. This Elite model has many +'s & few weaknesses. It is at home with Cds,Cd-rs, CDr-w's(finalized only) DVD-Video, DVD-Audio & SACD Multi-channel fare. The machine reads & plays all discs TOC's Quick. It has plenty of outputs & inputs to serve the most demanding A/V file. As far as picture DVD performance it is superb. I don't want to Techno-babble to death concerning Chroma Bugs & such but on my Sony XBR there are no abnormalities. It gives you audio output options as well with upsampling types & Hi-Bit enhancement Even cd Direct if you desire. The player does not equal the sonics of dedicated SACD spinner. It falls slightly short in that category spinning DVD-Audio discs with better overall dynamics. CD redbook is good depending on how you designate the audio output options. The DV-47A does what it's supposed to & does it well with no Fuss. Don't be fooled alot of it's newer sibilings such as Marantz,Onkyo & Even Lexicon are DV-47A based with different tweaks of their own.
The Newer DV-47Ai will be reviewed next whenever it posts.....

Strengths:
Compatibility,Price,sonics,

Weaknesses:
SACD Playback slightly weaker than dedicated machine
