Review 1 of 1

Price Paid:  $135.00 from Crutchfield

Summary:
OK, I neglected to give a full summary in my first attempt, so here it is! For $135 this DVD player has been an OUTSTANDING addition to my tight-budgeted Home Theater system. Although it neglects progressive-scan capability, it still plays great. I have NEVER had a problem with any CD-R's or MP3/MP4's. I loved this player so much that I bought one for my brother on his birthday. I have a pair of Polk RT25i's for my main speakers, and when the 2DVD "Led Zeppelin" goes in, the picture is phenomenal, only outclassed by the sound quality. Yes, there are PLENTY of DVD Players that do more, play better, and may even be prettier. But this is one of the best in its class: INEXPENSIVE ENTRY LEVEL DVD PLAYER. It is a bonus that the remote is so easy to use, with large buttons placed in the perfect position. It is also SLIM! What a great profile!

Strengths:
Great BANG for your $, Super-slim profile, plays great.

Weaknesses:
No progressive scan

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
