Actually I didn''t buy this one, this came in free with the HT system (Pioneer VXD 859TXG) package that I bought. I was only able to use this model a few times when I brought it back to Manila during the christmas season. But so far, my sister (who''s the one using it now) and I don''t see anything to dislike about this player except that it''s simply "just" a DVD player.
Anyway, if you are into serious HT setup, then this is not the player for you. But if you simply want to enjoy the picture quality of a DVD movie on your good old TV set (and probably a stereo), then this one will do. Anyway (again), even if you do get serious about setting up your own HT system, I think this one will do for a few months (while you gear up on buying a much much better DVD player). Strengths:
It''s Pioneer, so picture quality is very good (for a non-Progressive DVD player). It''s worth the price. Easy to use remote. GUI (for setting it up) is quite ok. No problems in playing any DVD title. Weaknesses:
