This is a great universal player. Replaced a DV47Ai and is better in every way. It plays all formats without glitch and has a great picture using component output. The only issue is slow initialization. The sound is great it uses latest TI PCM1796 dac. Great transparency, lots of detail and neutral with no brightness but the bass though deep is a bit soft compared to quality cd players such as Emotiva ERC2 and Marantz 8001. It is still very good compared to blueray dvd players from Panasonic and Oppo. I can see why this thing was rated Class B by Stereophile. Highly recommended!!
