Price Paid:  $35.00 from ebay

Summary:
Got it brand new off ebay, or at least that's what I thought.

Really great picture, features. Looks great. Doesn't feel cheap, loading bay is pretty stable.

Plays pretty much all disc formats except for LDs of course. I had VCDs from asia that worked great and bruned dvds work fantastic too.

Has one set of RCA inputs, has 2 RCA audio outputs,

Very pleased with the purchase.

For $35 this was a really really really really good deal I think. Would've been better if it was free but I'm not complaining.

Strengths:
Plays all cd formats, looks good, good construction, fact that it's a panasonic (good quality electronics).

quick replay feature - takes you back 12-15 seconds
customizable zoom and playback speed (with sound)
choice of tv aspect ratios
customizable subtitle position

Weaknesses:
Probably the number of outputs and the lack of inputs but that is not really a concern.

1 S-Video, 1 Component, 1 Video (yellow composite), 1 red/white Audio

no RF out
no inputs

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $70.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
SIMPLY A GREAT PRODUCT! I tried 2 Toshibas and 1 Sony DVD's. The Toshibas couldn't read DVD-R's: on couldn't read them at all, and the other one froze at times. I was disappointed with the Sony because i'm a big fan of their products (most of my electronic equipment is Sony): The video needed to be adjusted way too much for my taste. Now, the Panasonic: it play ALL DVD's, and the video and audio quality are fantastic. I highly recommend it. I don't think you can find a better product at this price: $69.00 at Circuit City. This is why Consumer Reports rates Panasonic the # 1 DVD in the market.

Strengths:
It plays ALL DVD'S; video and audio quality; remote control lots of features; price. Just stick the disc in the tray, and that's it: it will play it without complications.

Weaknesses:
I can't think of any weaknesses; maybe the number of inputs and outputs, but for the money, it's fantastic.

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
