Review 1 of 3

Price Paid:  $450.00

Summary:
mixed feeling about this one. bad luck with stability as the picture freezes quite often – will be repaired though. then again: when it works the picture is just great. amazing for such a small machine. Again another drag: when connected to hifi the sound isn´t convincing at all. the in-built converter sounds pretty cheap. but you can use the digital out, so there is room for improvement. the size of it is just right, as I like to take the player to friends occasionally. so for me there is no need for a smaller player. two stars for overall-rating might be a bit hard. after a sucessful repair-job i would give 4 stars.

Strengths:
surprisingly good picture

Weaknesses:
bad sound, picture is freezing

Review 2 of 3

Summary:
OK, so this is not your high-end DVD palyer. However it puts most low end model of various well known brands to shame. I bought this player so I could demonstrate on the road DVD's advantages to various customers which I knew had televisions onsite.

No other product comes near it for portability.

I have been using it continually for quite a few months and have had no problems.
Sound is above average as well as the image.
I am still awaiting for other brands to follow suit and market something like this at this price.
So far no one has done it but Panasonic. Pioneer, Sony and Panasonic inclusive have models with small screens or goggles but because of these screens they cost an arm and a leg.

Strengths:
Portability, size

Weaknesses:
For this size none

Review 3 of 3

Summary:
The P-10 was my first DVD player. I wanted it so that I could use it in my dorm room and then take it home and to friends houses. It worked great for a couple of months, although he built up a lot of heat so sometimes I couldn't watch more than one movie at a time. then after a couple of months it started acting up, not playing discs the first time they were put in, locking up, then finally not playing discs at all. Right now it plays CD's but not DVD's. Probably all it needs is the laser to be realigned, but I do not have a warranty. I called a repair place and the service is horrible. They said that I had to pay a non refundable fee of $90 just to have it looked at, and then more if necessary, so I just bought another player. I would try the portable from sony first if I were you.

Strengths:
Small, protable, pretty

Weaknesses:
Strength, Durability, heat dissapation

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
