Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $460.00 from Mong Kok, Hong Kong

Summary:
This unit is awesome. Not only does it have a nice clear pic on its 5.8" screen, the audio is pretty decent for its size. The main reasons I bought this unit of others are: 1. price $460 US...I see this unit at the WIZ with LESS features for $599. 2. it plays MP3s 3. it is PAL/NTSC compliant 4. it is an ALL region player. 5. it has S-Video and OPTICAL out Reasons 2,3,4 are standards MODS done to the unit in Hong Kong and are included in the price. On top of that, there is even a two year warranty. This little unit is just what I was lookin for.

Strengths:
multiregion, mp3, slim

Weaknesses:
screen too small

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $549.00 from circuit city

Summary:
Ive been looking for a portable DVD player for the past year for air travel, camping and remote casual viewing. I am kind of a gadget man and this little one has become one of my favorites. The Panasonic LV60 stacks ups to my needs with its 5.8 LCD. It is clear with quality color and resolution thats very acceptable for its size. The AC/battery pack allows you to use it anywhere and if you have a power inverter you have unlimited viewing of your favorite DVDs on the way to your destination that takes awhile to get to. With its video cables and remote you can attached to larger displays, home entertainment systems or even a surround sound systems to experience great DVD action and sound. I have a laptop with a DVD, but kind of cumbersome to take everywhere when you only want to relax and view a movie. The Panasonic LV60 is just what I wanted

Strengths:
Portability, size, Quality of Panasonic, batterypack the whole thing

Weaknesses:
none yet

Marantz MA-9S2 Reference Series Power Amplifiers Review

Marantz MA-9S2 Power AmplifierThe list above has one tenet that I continue to hold true: high powered amplifiers are necessary to reproduce the full dynamic range of music with most speakers. This became apparent when I changed from the 100 Watt per channel Bella Extreme 100 to the 250 Watt.....

The unit arrived from China well packed and everything seem to be in place. No external abuse by the carriers. The only problem was the power supply it came with. The box came with a cheap step-down converter.
