I've had this unit for almost 1 year. It does a good job at doing what it's supposed to do. One thing that has bugged me is that the clock isn't on when the unit is turned off. My reason for writing this review was to report that the DVD player broke after 1 year of light use. We used it to record only a handful of times and used it for playback about once a week.

Now, when we turn it on, the unit just hums and buzzes. After about 3-5 minutes of attempting to read a DVD, it shuts off. A hard reset didn't fix the problem. LG Support said we could return it for an under warranty repair. It would cost $75, which is about what I paid for it new!
