from PC Richard Summary: Unit played great for 13 months. It is now dead, just one month after expiration of the one year warranty. Shameful. Strengths: Almost instant access to DVD. Terrific DTS decoder, stong bass, and rear channel enhancement Weaknesses: Quality control Similar Products Used: Toshiba 4700 DVD-which also had a premature demise.

from Amazon.com Summary: Got the player to replace a defective SONY DVD (s360). Plays all the formats I can test and quickly reads disks when inserted.
Anticipate using progressive scan feature for HDTV when I get it. Strengths: slim case. looks cool. Weaknesses: Haven't found one yet. Some people have cited the JVC remotes as being hard to use. Seemed OK to me. Similar Products Used: SONY DVP-S360
