Audio Enthusiast

Strength:

Superb picture and sound.
Supports HDMI 1.3a.
It can display 1080p content at 24fps (after firmware update).
Onboard HD audio codes - DD Plus and TrueHD.

Weakness:

No DTS-HD support (only DTS Core).
Crapy (read: big) remote control (although better than previous versions made of plastic).
Does not play Blu-ray ? just kidding :-)

Bought it from second hand, only european model (HD-EX1). Player is very nicely built. It looks heavy and it is heavy (6.2 kg). One can say that is irrelevant as what matters is what the player is capable of. So here it is. You get fantastic picture quality along with very detailed audio processing (onboard hd audio codecs). It upsccales DVD movies to 1080p. What else can you wish for for a price similar to good quality DVD (like Denon 2930)?
