right out of the box was a 38 pound player that led me to believe the build quality was good .i found the set up was easy and the navagation was easy as well ...i tried to play avatar for the video playback but could not play untill i downloaded the newest version of firmware . easy to load and took about 15 min ..after watching avatar the picture was very detailed as well as the audio playback musically it didnt disapoint at all am using the direct 7.1 analog outputs through a mcintosh mx 136 through a mcintosh mc207 amp all in all very pleased ony draw back i think it was worth more in the range of a 1000$ player insted of a 2200$ player.... but would recomend as a very good player
