If you are looking for a compact chassis AM/FM/XM CD/DVD unit, your search is over. The sound quality is much better than expected given the size of the speakers, and the speakers sound even better after approximately 50 hours of use. From an appearance perspective, the system unit's silver metal faceplate and blue display exude quality. I have not seen anything under $500 that can compete with this unit. I have a megabuck home theater system, yet the quality of this unit at such a modest price gives me pleasure every time I turn it on in my den.
