Good performance for price. Clear mid and crisp highs.

Bass is not spectacular, but better than Sony.

Well, I've got the HD580's and I'm more than impresed with them but I wanted somehting to go out with that I would'nt have to worry about. Plus, I wanted a closed ear design so I don't have to listen to pesky conversations about nothing on the subway. These at $100 are a good deal for the performance you get. Nothing spectacular compared to the 580's but at the price, they are great. Plus, now I use them for DJ use.
