Price Paid:  $0.00

Summary:
I'm going to join the Sennheiser PX 100 love-in. They are very good, well rounded headphones at a very reasonable price.
The build quality inspires confidence (metal headband, nice heft). I've got Koss Porta Pros (my previous favourite portable cheapie headphones) that have broken and been replaced by Koss 4 times now. The PX 100s have had no issues in the year or so I've used them.
They are comfortable for very long periods of listening. These won't put your head in a vice.
No rattle, just punchy bass and clean mids.

I'm impressed.

Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $40.00 from TigerDirect

Summary:
When I bought these, I was skeptical as to how good they would actually sound. I've dealt with higher-end Sennheiser and Grado products before, but hadn't really dealt in the portable market. After an initial break-in period of about three or four days, the sound quality was, for their size, phenomenal. For any iPod user, these are a definite step up, and they blow away any set of headphones in the price range.

For me, the trebel was a bit loud, but the bass and midrange are clear and have a strong presence. The is easily heard in rock and metal. Some techno tracks, which are bass-driven, may seem distant, but not annoyingly so. These truly shine in classical music.

However, most people should find these to be a great pair of headphones. They're so light that you might forget you're wearing them. Also, they include a case that is designed to have the cord wound around it, which makes it very easy to just toss them into a bag.

Strengths:
Sound quality
Build quality
Easily stored in case
Great for travel

Weaknesses:
Pitchy at times, but only if you're listening for it.
Sounds much better after a break-in period.

Price Paid:  $42.00 from Bol.com

Summary:
Geat sounding headphone with solid bass, like switching on a quality subwoofer in your audio system.
They replaced my 'high end' Sennheiser HD-650, because the PX-100 have a better overall balance on all volume levels; I don't understand it for this price, but they do!

Strengths:
Great overall dynamic sound and bass on all volume levels.
Very lightweight, foldable and multi-functional, because of the high sensetivity.

Weaknesses:
Maybe too cheap (30 Euro) to be taken serious...; try them out and you're 'sold'!
3,5mm plug, so you need to buy an 6,3mm adapter or extension lead.

Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $60.00 from Circuit City

Summary:
Great sounding headphones with amazing overall sound. You can easily focus in on every instrument and vocal in the music and is very clean and crisp. These headphones are NOT for someone who downloads their music and expect the quality to be CD quality.

You will hear a BIG difference between a downloaded MP3 and a song ripped straight from a CD. The headphones will also dramatically bring out any crackles hissing etc. that a downloaded track may have. I use these for my Ipod Nano and sometimes I look have around to make sure a sound I heard through these isn't there.

I also noticed that some reviews say you can hear some sounds and instruments that you couldn't hear before, and I was amazed when I put them on and heard instruments and sound effects that I have never heard before.

One last thing is that you can crank these up as loud as the player will let you and you don't have to worry about damaging the headphones.

Strengths:
-Volume level
-Equal amount of bass, treble mid etc.
-Clean bass (not muddy sounding)
-Very lightweight
-Great price
-Uses VERY little power when used with Ipod
-Will fit almost any heads while still feeling comfortable and sometimes you forget their there.

Weaknesses:
-Sound HORRIBLE when listening to most MP3 tracks downloaded from Limewire Kazaa etc.
-Doesn't handle high frequencies very well when volume level is at max, like when you’re listening to Rush lead Geddy Lee at Max volume.
