Summary:
Panasonic doesn't support this product. Don't buy this model if you are still in the market. Material is shedding and falling apart.

Strengths:
Long cord (maybe too long) will never restrict your movement away from your jack source. Audio still works.

Weaknesses:
Material is of poor quality. Panasonic (manufacturer) doesn't even list this product on their website any longer. The material covering the foam that is the basis of ear contact has cracked apart and is falling off. Itchy and scratchy. Designed obselence.

Similar Products Used:
Plaintronics headphones (rigid plastic frame, disintegrating foam).

They don't make them like they used to. Buy from a thrift store or garage sale.

Summary:
These are the best headphones for my purposes. It's worrying me a little bit that I can't seem to find them anymore. Circuit City no longer offers them, and while I have the ability, I'd like to get a back-up pair. I sleep in these headphones every night. After a certain amount of time passes, that kind of wear breaks the plastic portion in the dual headband and I can no longer use them. I've used them for YEARS. So many years, I wasn't able to get a good "bead" on the "product model year" in the required fields above. If I can't find them, I just don't know what I'll do! The 16 foot cord is outstanding, and the in-cord volume control is GENIUS.

Strengths:
Oh, I wrote about these above. The 16 foot cord and the in-cord volume control. Plus the absolute COMFORT of these padded earphones! Great stereo sound. Fantastic headphones. Not a thing wrong with them!

Weaknesses:
They don't last forever for a person who only uses them to sleep in at night. (I need talk radio to be able to get to sleep and stay asleep. Yes, I know I'm weird.)

Similar Products Used:
I haven't used anything similar. If someone could point me the way to something similar, I welcome the direction. I'm not finding these this time around, and it's a little panic-making for me...

Summary:
I got these headphones for Christmas about a year ago, and I have used them constantly ever since, so this review will be out of a great deal of experience and use. Firstly, the sound quality continues to impress me. The frequency response seems to be almost perfectly flat; nothing is emphasized or lacking. This gives a very accurate sound reproduction for almost any kind of music. They have strong, detailed, but not boomy bass, a flat midrange response for good voice reproduction, and clear accurate highs. I suppose they're not to be compared with high-end audiophile headphones, which seem to have an entirely different "accuracy", but for the price, these are great headphones. Certainly much better than Bose Triport headphones, which are five times the price. I use them mainly out of my computer (but with high-quality lossless audio, not many low-quality mp3's) and for that they're perfect. They sound great in games as well. The cord is extremely long, as many have said already. It's annoying sometimes, but it's a godsend when you need it. I just rubber-band it and pull out more as required. They are very comfortable as well; and since they're closed-cup, they block out most ambient noise. One weird thing I have noticed is that wearing them with the sound off will make my ears hurt after ten or fifteen minutes. So take them off when you're not listening to them I guess... heh... The inline volume control is very nice, and after a years' use, mine is starting to wear out a little, dropping the left channel and giving a little static, but only at the max volume. I just keep it at about 2/3rd volume now and it works fine. When it fails completely I imagine I'll just rewire a new one from radio shack or something, or maybe by then it'll be time to get a new pair. In short: Amazing value; if you're in the market for good *accurate* sounding headphones for any use, then these are the bargain find.

Summary:
They sounded fine for the price; some have complained about the extremely long cord but a rubber band took care of that. Anyway, I returned these today because the volume control was failing; every time it was used the left channel would go silent until further tweaking of the volume was done. Don't have time for all that, so back to Circuit City the headphones went.

Strengths:
Very well balanced sound and exceptional comfort.

Weaknesses:
Weirdly long cord, and of course the aformentioned structural failure of the volume control.

Koss KXT Pros (very nice), a cheap Sony street style, and a couple of pricey cans used at home.

Summary:
After my previous experience with low cost closed headphones I was a little slow to try these out. But I figured that I had to find a replacement for my Koss TD-61 headphones (search for TD61 and read my review). The frequency range on these headphones is excellent at 10-27,000Hz. The bass response is supurb and extremely powerful. The midrange is good and the highs are crisp. The quality of the sound in Low-Mid range listening volumes is great just as it is at unreasonably loud volumes. The volume controls on the headphone cord itself is a handy feature not found on quite a few of "lower end" headphones. The length of the cord is the only Catch-22 for this product. It is great for when you want to say, lay down and listen to some music or plug them into your DVD player for listening from afar. But as soon as you get close to the source you start to get all tangled up in the cord. Especially for me since I do alot of my listening from my computer with a chair that rolls around. I had to tie the cable up so that I wouldn''''t accidently roll over it. But this is something I am willing to overlook since it is easily fixed and I do enjoy the extra length from time to time. All in all I suggest you give these a try.
