Review 1 of 4

Price Paid:  $60.00 from AAFES BX (Misawa, Ja

Summary:
Reduces noise by blocking out lower frequencies. But that leaves "white noise" hiss instead. After several minutes, whether on an airplane or even around my home computer (with its noisy fans), the hiss just gets annoying.

Strengths:
Good sound. Folds into a compact size.

Weaknesses:
White noise hiss. Headphones actually rest on your ears. So after a while, your ears get sore.

Review 2 of 4

Price Paid:  $70.00 from ?

Summary:
I am mostly concerned with sound quality in this review... I'll establish now that the noise cancelling works great. Definately makes a big difference on a plane or bus or car. Audio quality is very good, with deep bass and a good (if not overpowering) midrange. I cannot hear a well defined high end... the sound doesn't seem as live as I expect it to be. I find myself turning up the treble. I tried listening to them flat for a while, but I still found it lacking in the high end. Other than that, these are great for taking on the plane or wherever you need to cancel out ambient noise and want to listen to music at the same time.

Strengths:
Good bass and midrange, noise-cancelling effect works great.

Weaknesses:
Somewhat weak highs.

Similar Products Used:
Bose noise-cancelling headphones, Other Panasonic/Sony/Koss/etc headphones.

Review 3 of 4

Price Paid:  $95.00 from London Heathrow Airport

Summary:
These headphones are great for use on aircraft, trains etc. A good deal of the background noise is taken out by the closed back design and the noise cancelling works well in this environment. Plugs into most in flight systems with no problem at all and makes it very obvious how bad the headsets handed out by most airlines are. Folds up neatly as well.

The sound quality is much better than may be expected but cannot be compared with a full size conventional set. Worth buying just to cut out some of the background noise when flying.

Strengths:
Folding closed back headphones with noise cancelling, very good for travel. Reasonable sound quality

Weaknesses:
Not that comfortable if worn for long period: top band not padded.

Review 4 of 4

Price Paid:  $110.00 from Panasonic.com

Summary:
Nice headphones with noise canceling, but noise canceling switch broke and sound quality is weak and a portable CD player, needs more bass. The cushions are soft and leather. It has two separate cords going to each ear. Fold to a very small size. Need bigger drivers for more bass. I reccomend different headphones, because for this price you could buy better headphones.

Strengths:
these are foldable, noise canceling

Weaknesses:
poor bass for headphones of this price, noise canceling broke
