Review NaN of

Price Paid:  $11.00 from Radio Shack

Summary:
A great set of comfortable sealed circumaural phones for noncritical or PC / MP3 listening. Must be used with an equalizer with a modest presence boost to avoid murky, recessed midrange.

Mine came bundled with some "ear clip" phones which were worse than trash. Just toss 'em out or cut off the clips and use the cord for electronics projects.

Strengths:
Excellent sound for the price paid - with EQ.
Good isolation, but not so much you feel disconnected.
Very comfortable for long listening sessions.
Natural, if slightly lean, bass response.

Weaknesses:
Murky midrange - Requires modest EQ to get best sound.
Cord is WAY too long, approx 8-10' (3 meters.)
Not "hi-end", no snob appeal.

Similar Products Used:
Numerous walkman type phones, Sony MDR-V6, AKG K-280, various Beyerdynamic and Sennheiser and Grado cans.

Price Paid:  $20.00 from Walmart

Summary:
Purchasing at Walmart for $20, I expected this to be similar to other cheap sets, but these sound incredible. They have great deep bass, clear sound, and pleather pads are very comfortable and keep ears cool.

Strengths:
Deep Bass
Very detailed
comfortable

Weaknesses:
Not enough treble
Jazz and classical sounds a bit muffled

Sennheiser HD497
