Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $40.00

Summary:
I'm just changing my review from the earlier one I posted. I think the sound has echoes and is not very good throughout the whole range. I detect a lot of echoes when I listen to voices. Therefore I'm giving this a worst rating than my original post.

Review 2 of 2

Price Paid:  $40.00

Summary:
I compared this with the Sony MDRV300 because they were about the same price, this one costs $5 more.

- I thought the sound was powerful(more so than the Sony)
- the sound was clear
- sound was consistently good through the whole frequency range
- good bass (not overwhelming, but just enought for good music balance)
- I liked the good isolation from outside noises that these headphones provided
- I didn't like the styling, it appeared to make the headphones look cheaper than they really are worth
- I also didn't like dull plastic headband which looks bulky
- it was a bit uncomfortable

Strengths:
good sound, bass, isolation from outside noise, powerful sound

Weaknesses:
styling makes it look cheap, a bit uncomfortable,

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
