Summary:
I bought these headphones on impulse when I could not find sportapros for a reasonable price. I wish I had listened to them before I bought them (the store, future shop, wouldn't let me, can you believe it?) These phones aren't bad, but they are a far cry from koss's ksc35, and (s)portapro series. I understand that in most places the sportapros are only like $5-10 more expensive (more like $30 difference here -only radio shack sells them). By all means spend the extra few dollars and get the better phones. I would say they sound similar if not slightly worse than the sony street styles. The sound at high frequencies is clear, but as soon as bass is involved the entire sound spectrum becomes moderatly muddy. This is to be expected at this price point, but why live with it when $5-10 extra gets you so much more. I'm returning my pair asap to put towards the purchase of sportapros (as soon as I find them for less than twice the retail price).

Strengths:
Comfortable
Foldable

Weaknesses:
Distortion at higher volumes

Summary:
A pretty good pair of earphones for the price. Bass is there, but not too heavy, and the treble and midrange are excellent for normal listening. Inkeeping with
my previous purchases of Koss products, great.

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
