Review 1 of 2

Price Paid:  $70.00 from ebay

Summary:
Great phones, rival Sony high end stuff, and honestly not much difference. Though the Sony mdr-700 are a better sounding can. I don't think these can compare to SENNHEISER stuff...I've owned about 10 different pairs of 'phones and the Senns take the cake...I love the open aire design they use...but as far as closed cans go these Denon's sound great, but they still sound like headphones whereas you go for a high end pair of senns and they sound like loudspeakers

Strengths:
Comfy Great bass single high quality cord seem like they are very durable

Weaknesses:
Sound like headphones Closed ear design... Not as comfy or clear as Sennheiser phones

Magnepan Magneplanar MG 1.6 User Review

In my judgment the advantage of the MG 1.6 (and other Magneplars), stems from the following: = It is a full-range dipole, and = It has uses low-mass, planar drivers for the whole audio spectrum. These attributes account for its extraordinary clarity, coherence, “air”...
