Those speakers owerwhelmed my expectations almost in any category...clear and clean dynamic fateful sound in very wide frekvency field...compact and nice looking ! Good sounstage and appropriate for any kind of music !

A fantastic speaker. We have just purchased these second hand and are they are over ten years old however sound beautiful as new. Plenty of bass from such a small speaker was surprising. We will use these as rear speakers as part of our home theatre system with mx2 and mxC at the front. Really excited to try this arrangement on our new Yamaha RX-A850 amp.

power need is not unreal .. dont need tube or high current to create full sound very warm!! size .. very small 1/2 of a mini monitor.. and the baffle for port is a great touch gives a tamer on bass .. if using sub.. which most folks using bookshelves these days are ...

very impressed these are the mercury mx1m.. great mid great hi .. suprising bottom .. i use a custom powered sub.. so i keep baffles in to limit bass .. they are taking the place of my mini monitors (paradigm) the mini s are a well how to put it mildly .. very bassy good highs but mids are a tad weak .. these tannoys are a ear pleaser .. very versitile sonically .. and selling for a steal ... i am a all music listener .. kansas to outkast .. to jimi and back these handle rap .. hard rock and make instrument seem in the room .. very full imaging ..
