Well I have a beatiful pair of Splitfields on Projekt stands and they are, as all reviews suggest, just ... I don't know the word...as perfect as speakers can get for me and I've had a lot. However, they need more space than I have (they are 'backs to the wall' and I may sell them. I may do a p/x with something more suited to my small listening room. Any ideas tocameron@hotmail.com

Strength:

Width, Depth, Clarity and Dynamics.

Weakness:

The aluminium crossover box interfere with the music, change it to a wooden box instead.

I bought this pair of speaker when my sister worked for QLN. I had a pair of signature speakers which looks as the splitfield, and they were magical, so i thought that the splitfield would be even better and they were and are. This pair of speakers can play music, and they play it even better if you switch the aluminum crossover box to a wooden. The music gets depth, width and clarity wich is ubelivable. Before the uppgrade to a wooden box the speakers played classical music best, but now it plays everything with the same energy and dynamic. If you would stumble across a pair, buy them, you won´t be sorry. That will say as long as your sources are up to it, and use same sort of speaker cables through the line. Unfortunatly they don´t produce this speakers any longer, and the new one without the splitfield box dosen´t play as well as the old one.

I use Primare I20 that is A20 mkIII and Primare D20 mkI. Nordost Flatline gold mkII, and some cheap noname RCA cables from Biltema wich plays better than my reference cables from Cable Talk.

Strength:

Superb image & sound stage low colouration very musical

Weakness:

Need very good amplification & source

Hi I have used these speakers for nearly four years and i
can honestly say they are the most musically satisfying
speaker i have owned.
They get better with every upgrade i make to the rest of the
system there seems to be no upper limit to their performance. My crossover has been upgraded from an aluminium
box to a wooden box this made a very large improvement to the dynamics & dynamic range, aparently the aluminium case
interferes with inductors in the crossover network, it has
also made the slightly laidback balance unoticeable.
They are tonally neutral with virtualy no box colouration, the music fills a massive sound stage with incredible image depth provided they are kept well clear of room boundarys. The bass is unbelieveable for a stand mount and put most floor standers to shame.
I have listened to many other speakers but none so far beat
my QLN Signature HD2 Splitfields
I use Electrocompaniet EMC1 Reference 24/192kh CDP, Ec4.7 pre-amp AW 120 DMB Power amp Kimber mains cables ,interconects & speaker cables Speakers are on QLN Wooden stands, Also a Linn LP12 Lingo lv3 arm & Lyra lydian mc pick up with EAR 834p phono stage.

I have decided that It was about time the I told you guys (and girls) about these little babies. QLN is from Sweden and cost about 2000$. This is a 2 wayset with a separated crossover. The units are from scan-speak.
The reason that I bought QLN was that they sounded a lot bigger than just a 2-way system but they had retained the detailed and precise sound that you only get from 2-way system. The sound is a little laid back but the stereo image is perfect. So far ( rating 4).I found that there was room for improvement. I have rewired the crossover and speakers with silver (inspired of B&W).wouww.
The sound is incredible I'm surprised over the big difference that the cable had
on the sound. Now both upper and lower region is more detailed and controlled. ( I use Mataxas Amplifier set).Try this on you own speakers use the same cabel that you use between speakers and amplifier. Even the best speakers nearly always have a poor qvality. Now I'm very happy with my speakers and can recomend
them compared to other 2-way speakers.
use a poor qvality cable
