Bottom Line:
I'm not sure what the MSRP is for this model, but I got them for only $99.99 (Canadain!) at a place called "Liquidation World" in Vancouver. I have had them for almost a month now, and they sound great. A nice full sound, down to 45 Hz, the lowest I've found at this price range. They did very well with my test CD, "Symphonic Star Trek" and were the best performers on track 5 - the destruction of Praxis (for those of you who haven't seen Star Trek 6, Praxis is a Klingon moon which blows itself to pieces at the beginning of the movie), which comes with a warning label that says "Do not play this sound at high volumes, as it contains subsonic frequencies below 5 Hz that may damage equipment."
