Strength:

Neutral sound, capable of high output levels

Weakness:

Center speaker must be placed vertically, making it hard to locate unless you have a front projector

The B&W FCM8 is part of the B&W THX Cinema Series that includes the SCM8 dipole surrounds and the unique looking B&W subs (can't remember model number) that act as stands for the front left/right FCM8 speakers. They have the B&W matrix bracing system and have been compared to the B&W 801 and Silver Signature sonically.

These speakers are awesome for the home theater enthusiast. They have a very neutral sound that adds no coloration to soundtracks or music. Use these speakers with a good subwoofer, as they have a highpass crossover at 80Hz.

Some don't like the THX design philosophy, but if your main interest is movies, these speakers are hard to beat in this price class. Yes, they even do a fine job on music.
